Detailed info paddle,camp&hike (Lysefjord&Preikestolen)

Day 1 - Saturday

After meeting your kayaking guide in Jørpeland, the group will travel together a little further to Forsand. There, you'll get a safety briefing and then be allocated your kayak plus the necessary equipment.
The group will set out on the water at approximately 12:30pm and paddle for about 1-2 hours before resting for lunch. Along the way, your guide will share with you the area's natural and cultural history and you'll have the chance to fish while experiencing the natural beauty of your surroundings. If you're lucky, you may even catch glimpses of wildlife such as seals.
You'll paddle for another 1-2 hours until you reach one of the finest beaches named Dørvika in the area, where you will camp for the night.
Your guide will then use locally-sourced ingredients to make a satisfying campfire meal (including dessert!). After dinner, you'll have the chance to retire early and get a good night's sleep before waking up again in the early hours of the morning.

Day 2 - Sunday

Your guide will wake you at 2:45am, after which you'll be served coffee and a simple breakfast before meeting one of Outdoorlife Norway's professional  hiking guides. After being transported to the head of the trail, you'll strap on headlamps and start your trek to Preikestolen in the twilight of the night. Following approximately 2.5 hours of trekking, you'll reach Preikestolen's cliffside. After finding yourself a beautiful spot to relax, you'll then watch as the first deep orange beams of sunlight illuminate the steep mountain walls that tower over the Lysefjord. Long before the first tourist-packed busses arrive from Stavanger, you will be on your way back down the trail to conclude your unique hiking experience with a well-deserved meal at Preikestolen Mountain Lodge. Depending on the time of year, you'll enjoy either a traditional Scandinavian breakfast or a delicious bowl of hot soup and home-made bread.

The tour ends in Stavanger at approximately 14:00 (2:00pm).
